The collection is designed for general audiences. The jokes are clean enough for most classrooms, workplaces, and family settings, although every audience has its own preferences and context.
What makes this archive different
Many joke collections stop at the punchline. We also label the kind of wordplay involved, offer a concise explanation, and assign a corniness score. The score is playful rather than scientific: a higher number indicates a more obvious pun, a more inevitable groan, or an especially committed disregard for restraint.
The site does not require an account. Favorites remain in your own browser, and the printable-card tool works without sending your choices anywhere.
Who runs Corny.org?
Corny.org is an independent website rather than a membership organization, university institute, or professional association. “The Institute for Applied Corniness” is the site’s fictional administrative identity. Its departments, commissions, peer-review claims, and laboratory terminology should be interpreted with the seriousness they deserve.

Short jokes often circulate for decades in numerous forms, without a traceable author. This archive combines familiar traditional jokes with newly written wording, original variations, classifications, and explanations.
